Moeder Babelutte Chocolates from Bruges, Belgium

There are three outlets of Moeder Babelutte in Bruges, so when visiting the historic city one should be able to find a shop with relative ease. Unlike many of the mainstream mass-produced luxury chocolates such as Godiva, the products from Moeder Babelutte are handmade to time honoured recipes from master chocolatiers. The chocolate is rich but not overpowering. It crumbles in a satisfyingly indulgent way, and melts into the taste buds providing a most enjoyable chocolate experience. Perfectly balanced quantities of cocoa content ensure a pleasing flavour that keeps one dipping into the bag time and time again.

There are many bespoke, boutique chocolatiers in Belgium and in Bruges in particular, but you would be wise to visit Moeder Babelutte as you will not be disappointed. Unfortunately they do not appear to have an online presence, so fans are forced to venture out to Belgium to partake in the decadent chocolate dream.
